In order to fulfil this function, PESACO subcategorized its objectives in areas inter alia raising awareness about road safety to road users, and enhance strategic research for prevention and reduction of crime. PESACO is established behind the justification that in the current modernized world, the functions of law enforcement can effectively be achieved and realized through public cooperation, legitimacy, and community acceptance. Also, the fact that the safety of the community requires promotion of a partnership-based and collaborative effort between the law enforcement institutions and the community.
